Resend pricing: what you pay at 50K, 100K and 1M emails
Resend pricing from our 16 September 2026 check at 100K, 250K and 1M emails, next to SendRaven's published prices and counting rules.

Resend pricing in short: the Free plan is capped at 100 emails a day (checked 16 September 2026). At 100,000 emails a month, Resend costs $35 (checked 16 September 2026). At 1,000,000 emails a month it costs $650 (checked 16 September 2026).
Every Resend figure here comes from the check dated 16 September 2026 on the SendRaven vs Resend comparison.
SendRaven's published prices are $19 at 50K emails a month, $35 at 100K and $379 at 1M. One meter drives them: outbound emails sent. Contacts don't move the bill.

The pricing unit matters as much as the price. Resend's marketing plans are priced by contacts (checked 16 September 2026). SendRaven meters one thing: outbound emails sent. The headline is short: pay for email, not your database.
Vendor prices change, so every Resend number in this post carries its check date. The comparison page is re-verified monthly. A price without a date is a rumor with a decimal point.
What the Resend Free plan covers
Resend's Free plan is capped at 100 emails a day (checked 16 September 2026). That cap belongs to Resend's plan, not SendRaven's.
A daily cap can stop sending on a busy day even when your monthly total is small. A launch or a batch of password resets can use it up fast.
SendRaven Free works differently:
- $0/month.
- 3,000 emails/month.
- Unlimited contacts.
- Inbound replies included.
- 1 workspace and 1 sending domain.
- 7-day history.
- No daily cap, for now.
Sending pauses at the monthly limit. It is never auto-upgraded. One requirement: a payment method must be verified to activate sending, even on Free. Set it up before your first send.
What it costs at 100K, 250K and 1M emails a month
SendRaven's Standard plan uses automatic volume pricing. There is no tier to pick. You send, the meter counts, and the price follows.
Resend figures checked 16 September 2026:
| Monthly emails | SendRaven Standard | Resend (checked 16 September 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| 100,000 | $35 | $35 (checked 16 September 2026) |
| 250,000 | $109 | $170, Pro plus overage (checked 16 September 2026) |
| 1,000,000 | $379 | $650 (checked 16 September 2026) |
SendRaven figures are the published prices on SendRaven pricing. Resend figures come from the SendRaven vs Resend comparison. We don't estimate the gaps.
SendRaven's published prices at 50K ($19) and 500K ($199) are not in the table because we don't quote a Resend figure at those volumes. See Resend's pricing page for them.
Resend's overage, per that check, is $0.90 per 1,000 on Pro and $0.65 per 1,000 on the 1M tier (checked 16 September 2026).
Beyond 1M, SendRaven is $699 at 2M and $999 at 3M, then $0.50 per additional 1,000. Enterprise is custom: negotiated rates, dedicated sending infrastructure where it helps, an SLA, invoicing and net terms, and procurement review. We suggest it from around 1M emails/month.

What counts as one email
On SendRaven, one counted email is one outbound recipient. To, Cc and Bcc each count. One message to a To and two Cc addresses is three emails on the meter.
Retries don't double-count. Send the same request with the same idempotency key (a unique token, so a retry with the same key delivers once) and it is counted once.
Inbound replies are free. They don't count toward usage. On Resend, each received email counts against the sending quota (checked 16 September 2026).
Before you compare totals across providers, check how each one counts recipients and received mail. A comparison built on mismatched units is a spreadsheet that looks confident and is wrong.
Contacts, seats and the other things a bill can include
Our stance: pay for emails sent, never for contacts stored. Free includes unlimited contacts. Add a million rows to your audience and the meter doesn't move until you send.
"We were paying for rows, not for mail." That is the line on our site, and it is the problem the pricing model answers. For contrast, Resend's marketing plans run $40–$650/month and are priced by contacts, with 150,000 contacts at $650/month (checked 16 September 2026).
A few other things to compare on any bill:
- One API, one plan. Transactional email and campaigns share both. Separate sending identities, each with its own reputation:
mail.for transactional, news.for campaigns. - Sending domains. Free has 1. Standard has unlimited.
- History. 7 days on Free, 90 days on Standard.
- People and access. Standard includes SSO and up to 10 people.
For Resend's side of those items, check Resend's pricing page. We only state what our dated check states.
What happens when you hit your limit
SendRaven returns 402 plan_limit_reached when you are out of plan. It does not return 429.
On Free, sending pauses at the limit. Nothing is auto-upgraded.
Per-key daily limits are a separate control. A key with a daily send limit returns 429 daily_limit once it passes its cap. The count is per UTC day, in recipients. It isn't a plan limit.
Switching from Resend: a short decision guide
Stay on Resend if the dated numbers at your volume favor it and nothing else is bothering you. At 100,000 emails a month, Resend's $35 (checked 16 September 2026) matches SendRaven's published $35. Do the math at your own volume.
Look at SendRaven if any of these are true:
- You pay for contacts elsewhere and send far fewer emails than you store rows.
- You send both transactional and marketing mail and want one API and one plan.
- You have agents that need replies, threads or send guardrails (daily limit, recipient allowlist,
requires_approvalhold).
The trade-off, stated plainly: we don't quote a deliverability figure. We don't have a decade of warm IPs or an abuse team of forty, and we won't publish a number until we've earned one. This post doesn't compare deliverability.
